CAD software asks a lot of a laptop. Rotating a 3D model, rendering a view or opening a large Revit project leans on the graphics card and memory. Every pick here runs Windows, has a dedicated graphics card and at least 16 GB of memory.
Windows matters because Revit, SolidWorks and many plugins don’t run on macOS. AutoCAD itself has a Mac version, but most offices and courses work on Windows.
A bigger, sharper screen makes detailed drawings easier, and a number pad helps if you type coordinates. Many gaming laptops make good CAD machines for less than workstation models.

Autodesk recommends a modern multi-core processor, 16 GB of memory and a dedicated graphics card for 3D work. 2D drafting runs on less, but 3D models and Revit projects need the graphics card.
AutoCAD has a Mac version, but Revit, SolidWorks and many plugins are Windows-only. For most CAD users, a Windows laptop is the safer choice.
Yes for most users. Gaming graphics cards handle AutoCAD and Revit well. Certified workstation cards (NVIDIA RTX Ada) matter mainly for large professional models.
