Photo editing is the one job where the screen matters as much as the processor. If the screen can’t show the colours in your photos, your edits will look different everywhere else. Every pick here has a wide-colour or OLED screen.
Lightroom and Photoshop also lean on the processor and memory: importing hundreds of RAW files, building previews and running AI masks. All picks have a fast processor and at least 16 GB of memory.
Check the storage too. RAW libraries grow fast, so 1 TB inside plus an external drive for archives is a comfortable setup. An SD card reader saves a dongle on shoots.

One that covers a wide colour range: look for 100% sRGB at minimum, or DCI-P3 or OLED for more vivid, accurate colour. A basic 45% NTSC screen shows washed-out colours.
16 GB for most photographers. 32 GB helps with big RAW batches, panoramas and Photoshop files with many layers.
It helps for AI features and some filters, but less than for video. A fast processor and plenty of memory matter more for Lightroom.
