Copilot+ PCs are Windows 11 laptops with a processor that includes an AI engine (NPU) of at least 40 TOPS, plus at least 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage. They run some AI features on the laptop itself rather than in the cloud.

Those features include Recall (search your past activity), Live Captions with translation, Cocreator in Paint, and Windows Studio Effects for video calls. Microsoft keeps adding more, and some need you to opt in.

The first Copilot+ PCs used Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips; Intel Core Ultra 200V and AMD Ryzen AI chips now qualify too. Snapdragon models give the longest battery life but run some older apps and games through emulation, so check the software you rely on.
